Learn how to create a pollinator-friendly habitat in your own yard at this fun, family-friendly event. Get a FREE milkweed or other native plant (while supplies last). Participate in creative kids' activities, take a tour of our community garden, food forest and pollinator gardens, check out the plant sale and vendor tents, grab a bite to eat from the grill, and listen to live music in the food tent. You can make a difference in the fight to help pollinators thrive in your community! If it rains, we'll move activities indoors. Check out more info here.

Serving Our Neighbors

Picture
Feeding Our Neighbors in Need
During Lent we partnered with Faith Alliance to Feed Our Neighbors in Need. Over the course of a few weeks, we collected 43 bags of groceries totaling 323.5 pounds. These groceries were delivered to the Faith Community United Methodist Church Food Pantry.

Family Promise
Join with faith communities from around Butler County in providing temporary housing for homeless families. Families stay at Christ the King several times a year for a week at a time.  You are invited to participate by setting up/taking down bedrooms, preparing meals, helping with homework, spending the night with families, and caring for linens. Learn more about Family Promise. Contact Susan for more information.

Stepping Forward Community Dinners
Second Tuesday of alternating months:
February, April, June, August, October, December

Christ the King volunteers join with Faith Alliance volunteers to prepare food, host dinner and clean up at Faith Community United Methodist Church six times each year.  Stepping Forward is a weekly program that provides not just a meal, but specific skills, tools, and support so that community members can move out of poverty to a higher level of self sufficiency. Learn more about Stepping Forward. For information about volunteering, contact Dan.
