At Christ the King you are welcome as you are. It does not matter what you wear. It does not matter where you come from. What matters is that there are no barriers to experiencing the love of Jesus at Christ the King. We do not expect anyone to be perfect, but we do expect people to experience God’s perfect and redeeming love in Jesus Christ through worship, study of scripture, fellowship with one another, and by serving our neighbors.

As firm believers in God’s Word, we strive to live out the Gospel by practicing the same radical and inclusive welcome that Jesus first showed us. We believe that God loves everyone and everything that God has made, and we feel called to care for God’s creation with love and compassion.

We hope that our community of believers can be a place where your faith can grow as you discover your identity as a beloved child of God.

Family-Friendly Chamber Concert

Picture
"For the Young and the Brave"
Sunday, Dec. 7, 4:00 pm

Step into a musical animal adventure with
DuoMente at a family-friendly concert of story, imagination, and courage. Hear Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, Saint-Saëns’s witty and sparkling Carnival of the Animals, and other creature-inspired surprises. Some young student artists will share the stage and the spotlight. Bring your kids, bring your curiosity, and stay after to meet the musicians at a relaxed reception. As a part of the Music with a Mission series, proceeds from this concert benefit MYCincinnati, a music outreach program for Cincinnati youth. For more information, contact Kathryn.

Every Symbol Tells a Story
Thursdays, Dec. 4 - 18
6:00 - 7:15 pm
Gathering Area

Christian symbols become ornaments on a Christmas tree in a church, called Chrismons; the lineage of Jesus inspires the Jesse Tree, with stories from Creation to Jesus’ birth. We’ll explore all the ways our Christmas trees tell our story and even make some ornaments of our own!  Each week will end with Advent meditations.  For more information, contact Denise Simpson.
