Storytelling in Worship

Journey with us
to the
Promised Land

Street sign for Promised Land

After slavery, after the plagues, after crossing the Red Sea…
what happened next?

This summer talented storytellers of Christ the King will bring the stories to life each weekend in worship. We’ll wander with the Israelites in the desert. 40 years they roamed, seeking the land God promised to them.

The Schedule

August 1/2: CROSSING THE JORDAN: Are we there yet? (Joshua 3:1-17, 4:1-5:1)

August 8/9: FALL of JERICHO: Can you yell any louder? (Joshua 5:13—6:27)

August 15/16: SUN STANDS STILL: Is God still here?
(Joshua 10:1-15)

The land of Milk and Honey was to be the Israelites home, but not before God took time to
form them into the people
they were intended to be:
God’s chosen ones, with God at the center of their lives.
