Fall 2014

Some of Our Many

  • MISSON:  To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
  • PURPOSE:  As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
  • WELCA Board:  This group coordinates Women of the ELCA (WELCA) events throughout the year, such as the Trash and Treasure Sale, Advent Brunch and provides funding support for various congregational benevolences and ministries.
  • Mary Martha Circle:  A fellowship, service, and Bible study group for women. They sew quilts for Lutheran World Relief. This group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 11:00 am in the ARK. The 4th Tuesday also has a Bible Study.
  • Rachel Circle:  A fellowship, service, and Bible study group for women--usually meeting the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at an individual’s home. A Bible Study from the WELCA magazine “GATHER” is presented for study and discussion. A monthly service project is part of their outreach ministry.
