Liturgy

Worship services rotate among the following liturgies:

  • Lutheran Book of Worship (LBW), Settings One and Two
  • "Mass of Creation" by Marty Haugen
  • "Now the Feast and Celebration" by Marty Haugen
  • "Bread of Life, Setting Five" from "With One Voice"
  • Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW), Setting 8

Communion

  • Holy Communion is celebrated at all services.
  • Visitors are welcome to take Communion if they have that privilege at their own church.

Lay Involvement

Lay members of the parish serve a variety of roles in worship services:

Adults

  • Assisting Ministers

  • Readers
  • Ushers
  • Cantors

Youth

  • Communion Assistants
  • Acolytes
  • Readers
  • Ushers
  • Crucifers

Special Worship Services

Christ The King periodically offers unique liturgical settings:

  • Drama
  • Dixieland Music
  • Celtic Liturgy

During Advent and Lent additional weekday services are offered, sometimes in cooperation with other congregations.
